We wanted to visit and explore a Middle Eastern country during our one-year tour. We weren't sure which country to visit first, but we settled on the United Arab Emirates and couldn't be happier with our choice. Our entire family had a fantastic time in the UAE. We spent the entire evening on a dune buggy with our driver. This is when you drive an SUV up and down the dunes in the desert (Land Cruiser or Jeep). We have no roads; all we have is a skilled driver who is having a good time with us. Our driver was fantastic, and he constantly checked on the kids to make sure they weren't scared or sick in the van. If you're not used to it, it can get a little intense, but I was always completely safe.

Adrenaline is only mildly present in the body. Again, I would without a doubt sign up for this experience. The kids were smiling and laughing the entire time we were having one of our best desert experiences. These drivers are entertaining and knowledgeable! Following that, you will have another opportunity to admire the stunning desert sunset!

It's finally time to ride a camel! There are camels available for short rides; this is an excellent opportunity for children. A host will assist you and guide you. This was a fantastic introduction to camel riding for our children. Because camels are so tall, it may be intimidating for small children to ride one, but this was ideal and our kids had a great time.

Then, with the help of a guide, we went off-roading in search of the best spot to watch the sunset. We also discovered it! From atop a dune in the middle of nowhere, we watched the sunset transform the hues of the sky into a whirling kaleidoscope of colors. Because the sunset Desert Safari was so beautiful, I didn't want it to end.

Our sandboarding attempts were a lot of fun, and we had a great time doing them. You can easily walk around the resort's back and find a large dune outside to practice sandboarding. Maximum enjoyment! Sand-filled, with only a few minor falls. The heat will cause dehydration, so bring plenty of water. Because it was so much fun, we took our time and repeated it several times. You can expect sand in your shoes after that, but it will be worth it!

You are cordially invited to an evening of Arabian entertainment in the main common area. At a meal with new friends, savor a variety of regional specialties. Following that, nighttime entertainment will include henna tattoos, swordsmen, and belly dancers. They did offer a variety of kid-friendly dishes.

After all of that sandboarding, the best time of day for us and the kids to relax was in the middle of the day. They have a lovely oasis-themed pool with lounge chairs and covered dining tables. We unwinded by playing cards in the pool in the middle of the desert.
